Our father...
...the only prayer Jesus is recorded as teaching !
But what a prayer !
How can we start with such a statement? Addressed to the God who is all powerful, and who created all the wonderful world around us.
How can we call Him Father?
Only because the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross brought us into God's family. Our sins separated us from God, but the death of Jesus for those sins paid the price.
The door is open wide and we can become one of the family. We can be little children of God!
Read the Gospel of John with this in mind and you will be amazed!

Of course we have the choice. We don't have to seek God's way. But there is so much to explore and discover as He leads us into His creation. The picture in Genesis shows how He enjoyed each phase of His creation. The picture the scientists give us shows how incredibly complex the process really was.
As He took pleasure in the creation, so He takes pleasure as we discover each wonderful facet.

We can see how sin and natural disasters have caused much suffering.
Jesus showed us the heart of God as He responded to the suffering of His day. There is little account of Him singing about it - but He used the resources He had to solve the problems.
Is this not the "Father's Business" that Jesus referred to? As little children of the Father it must be our priority today.
